Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Assistant will be supporting the implementing partners and will undertake the following functions: 


Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Provide day-to-day support to the implementing partners to ensure timely implementation of project activities;
  2. Assist the implementing partners to develop annual work plans and prepare periodic narrative reports;
  3. In coordination with the implementing partners, provide economic support assistance for small business set up to project beneficiaries;
  4. Support the implementing partners in developing and designing community engagement activities;
  5. Participate in community-level meetings/ functions with relevant stakeholders;
  6. Provide regular, detailed, updates on the activities implemented by the implementing partners;
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
    Required Qualifications and Experience
  1. Minimum of High School Degree/ Certificate with 4 years’ experience or Diploma/ Certificate with 2 years’ experience in International relations, social sciences, Human Rights, development studies or related field.
  2. Four years (two year for applicants with Bachelor’s Degree) of relevant experience working with NGOs.
  3. Excellent inter-personal, communication and report writing skills;
  4. Knowledgeable in community mobilization and community development
  5. Experience working in slum communities, an advantage
  6. Proven experience in livelihood and socio-economic support;
  7. Basic counselling skills
  8. Experience working with youth;
  9. Demonstrable ability to take initiative, work in a team and work with minimal supervision
