The IOM office in Uganda is pleased to share with you the May 2019 release of the flow monitoring dashboard on Uganda/South Sudan border including data on some of 33,667 movements measured at six flow monitoring points (FMPs).
Over the reporting period along the South Sudan border, a total of 33,667 individual movements were observed at six (6) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the Ugandan (UGA) border with South Sudan (SSD). The majority (69%) of movements were reported within a day to a week, frequently (53%) by foot, and mostly spatialized in districts surrounding the border area. Inflows and outflows were fairly even in the total observations with no drastic differences per FMP.
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) through the Better Migration Management (BMM) programme. The BMM Programme is a regional, multi-year, multi-partner project co-funded by the European Union Trust Fund for Africa, and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
